I can't believe my son's middle school is making us spend over $100 on this calculator -a "Required" item for 6th GRADE!! Come on. Their reasoning is that they'll use it all through high school. I'll be surprised if he doesn't lose it by November. ( Sorry, just had to vent.)

If your professor don't allow you to use a TI89-plus, then this is the right Graphing Calculator. I use it for my calculus class it really help me the necessary.
Si tu profesor no le permite usar una TI-89 plus (que lo hace todo)entonces esta calculadora le puede ayudar mucho. Yo la utilize para mi clase de calulus me ayudo lo necesario. Para graficar y analizar graficas esta muy buena.

Very good calculator. Big help on my college algebra. 2 downsides though:
1)Took almost a month to get it.
2)Does not support Vista Home premium 64 bit or any vista for that matter. So no updates or addons are possible unless you have an XP PC.
Other than that I am very happy.

This is an excellent calculator for those embarking on a college major that requires a lot of math. It has a lot of pre-loaded formulas for many types of calculations. Several readily used textbooks refer to either the TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator for use in their courses.
The only problem I found is that TI-Connect (the software to connect the calculator to your computer) does not work with Windows XP SP3. You would think a company as advanced as TI could keep up with Microsoft's updates to Windows! What Windows user would not be up to date with Service Packs? I really don't understand their failure is this area.
All other things about this product are great!
