Slow but sure. February 29, 2000 Richard J. Hughes (San Diego, CA USA) 8 out of 18 found this review helpful
As might be expected from a calculator whose design has apparently remained unchanged over the past two decades, it's easy to use. That's the good news. The bad news is that the processor evidently hasn't been updated in the past two decades either. It takes an astonishing 5 seconds to return the result of a compound interest calculation that the 17BII returns almost instantly. Don't buy this calculator unless you collect museum pieces. It's a dog.
a good calc but... 15 years old ! November 10, 1999 12 out of 21 found this review helpful
It is a great calculator of the 80s but... for just 30 dollars more you can get a TI-83 Plus calculator: graphing, updateable (flash technology), complete statistics module, PC conection capability and a full finance software included !
18 years old but still the best.... September 28, 1999 jldorigo@tin.it (Firenze Italy) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
If you use a calculator for serious financial work, you cannot go past the HP 12C. It uses RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) to turn difficult calculations into simple ones. It has been around for 18 years, proof that it is an absolut industry standard. Congratulations HP on a real winner.
There's a reason this calculator is the industry's standard June 30, 1999 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
This calculator is absolutely the best I've ever used. It does every wiz bang calculation, and then some. Furthermore, I've owned it for years and have never had to replace the battery not to mention it's so lightweight it goes everywhere with me. I love it!
