Our family is hooked!!! January 4, 2009
I purchased this game over a year ago as a Christmas gift for our college-aged daughter. It never left the pouch. This year we were at a family gathering for several days and someone brought it out. We couldn't stop playing and someone was always at the table with a game going. Our daughter now says that she can't wait to get home and play with her roommates. I am going to buy two more for us here at home. Great game for those of us who have no patience for the slowpokes when we play Scrabble.

Santa brought this for my 11 and 9 year-olds this year, and while they love it, so do the grown-ups! We are all huge Scrabble fans, but Bananagrams appeals (pun intended!) to us for several reasons: it is faster than Scrabble--you can play a round in about 5 minutes, no one can steal your spot, you are not constrained by only 7 letters, you don't lose a turn for returning a tough letter--though you do have to take 3 more, and you can mess with your opponents by using all your letters and making them draw more when they're not ready. Super, super fun, reasonably priced, highly portable. We love it!

This is an excellent game for a wide range of ages. It becomes very addicting if one is not careful. The game is an excellent way to make use of your vocabulary and to build on your vocabulary after one sees the words that other players use. What is nice is that the game is very portable and fast paced making it very useful during short durations of time between activities. I used the game during a theater production when I needed to entertain 14 children during their down time off of the stage. Fun was had by all.

Bananagram's is a great game for all ages. 3 generations of my family play it together. Check out Dr. Jordan's banana leaf score pads if you are one who must have a written score.
