a must have for med school August 16, 2009 J. Capasso (NY) This book is absolutely a must have for med school. It makes learning to read an EKG very easy. The depth of physiology behind depolarization and repolarization is a lacking a bit, but it makes up in the clinical aspects.
Review June 30, 2009 J. Braunworth (Derby, CT) This book, while not of highly exciting subject material, is rather entertaining to say the least.
Not the only, but a great basic March 31, 2009 N. Jacobs (rochester, mn) I can't say enough good things about this book. As an internal medicine resident who hates cardiology (who needs the heart anyway), this book is wonderful. Made it through being pimped incessantly...it's not the only ECG book you'll ever need if you're a cardiologist, but it's a heck of a lot better than the cartoon Dubin version. Very well organized, easy to follow, and the ECGs are very representative of real life. Sorry, not for the future EP folks.
The title says it all February 20, 2009 K. Van Allen (Chino Hills, CA) I teach a 12 lead EKG course, this book has something for everyone. Novices and experts alike will get something from this book. The topics are logically organized and clearly presented.
Mediocre October 12, 2008 Dr. Shahzad Shah (Hershey, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is meant for people in medical school. It may actually be less advanced then Dubin. I may be biased there as I used Dubin in medical school and then everything was new. If you have gone through a basic book then this may be a waste of your time and money. It doesnot deal in depth with arrhythmias, or with T wave inversions or the use of vector EKG which may help in tight spots.
