LOVED it!! October 12, 2009 Katherine E. Pelc (Detroit, MI) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Absolutely LOVED this book! It put an awesome twist on the story. I never "loved" the original Pride and Prejudice, but I could not put down this version! Cannot wait to read more form this author!
Great book for the "unmentionables" October 12, 2009 Samantha Houk (pasadena CA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm not much of a fan of the Jane Austen books, but I do love this adaptation of her book. The old english takes a little to get used to, but all in all, it has been a great read. I am about to start the one with sea creatures, and am looking forward to purchasing the War of the Worlds one. I think these books have done a wonderful job in putting in strange twists to get people like me into the Jane Austen series, and I have always loved H.G.Wells, and Hope to see one of Jules Verne soon.
Too much fun October 10, 2009 Colleen Criswell 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been laughing out loud reading this book. I got a lot of strange looks on the flight home from Philly. It is a hoot and a half!
Wasn't sure but... October 10, 2009 T.R. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this story. Pride and Prejudice wasn't my kind of book, but it was good. It was down right funny. If you like parody check this one out.
I really just hated it October 10, 2009 L. Mincher (New Castle, PA United States) I'm a Janeite, and I've read every word written by JA and most written about her. I'm not a purist however, and have enjoyed some of the bawdier sequels quite a lot. However, my sense of humor must have been on vacation when I read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I can't believe I'm writing these words, but parts of it simply are unbelievable, even if you are willing to grant the premise of zombies.
I got to the end but just barely, and I couldn't wait to list it on Bookins. I felt like including a warning note to the poor person who requested it from me. I have a Jane Austen shelf where I keep everything I've ever read by or about her. This one left the house immediatly.
