BOOK REVIEW September 7, 2009 Crash Conner I ENJOYED THIS BOOK & IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. I DIDN'T FIND EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR BUT I FOUND OUT A LOT OF PLANTS TO STAY AWAY FROM! THIS WOULD BE A VERY GOOD READ FOR ANYONE WANTING TO PLANT A "SAFE" GARDEN. THE PICTURES WERE A GREAT HELP, ALSO. WOULD HELP SAVE YOUR PETS FROM HARM, ALSO.
Wicked Plants September 2, 2009 Rick Sussman (Woodbine (somewhere north of DC) MD) This book was well-written and well laid out. Sort of wish she included a bit more info on each species though, but understandably it is a botany book for the lay person, so less might be more. A few typographical errors not-withstanding, it is a fun read!
I am glad I chose the hardcover version rather than the Kindle version, as it is also a nicely produced book, with very good illustrations.

A very interesting and quick read. To many plants from other countries. I wanted to learn more about wicked plants found in the United States.
Wicked Plants: The weed that killed Lincol's Mother and Other Botanical Atrocities August 11, 2009 grandma (ca) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is very interesting. I heard about it on PRS and the Author was going to be in Nevada City but I was out of town. Would loved to have seen her and have her sign my book.
I find it interesting about the history of plants and similar ones that look like some of the wicked plants. I had no idea that plants I thought were nice are in her Wicked plant book. Very interesting.
It is slow reading as I read about 3 books at one time.
If only..... August 11, 2009 Sheila (Florida) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's an interesting read. The grass-green cover, and brown print-on-tan paper are earth-appropriate. The drawings are great. If only they were in color! The author does include a bibliography of identification guide books, and a website for photos and pictures...but it would have been really helpful if the illustrations had been in color..included with the stories of the plants.
