The book was in excellent condition and arrived in a timely manner ... Along with an excellent price ... I would buy more from this seller!

I purchased (9/28/09) the publication manual because it was listed as a textbook requirement for most of my classes. The book arrived in a timely manner and in excellent condition. However, I have to say it is the worse APA reference book I have ever purchased. There are a lot of basic criteria missing from the book. A huge difference from APA and MLA is the use of a title page, table of contents, margins, spacing, and abstracts. Some vital information like how to format an abstract outside of an abstract for a research paper is not provided in this manual. Also, the basic structure of a title page is not listed as well as numbering pages, header and footer, as previously stated margins and spacing. The only good thing about this manual is that it instructs how to create a reference page. There is also a lot of non APA information in the manual such as grammar and spelling. I do not recommend this book at all especially if you need to write professional summary abstracts which are not structured like a basic research abstract (as shown in the book).

This book is much smaller than the 5th edition which is nice. It is also organized nicely.

I'm very curious on the reasons that this is number 3 on the 100 bestseller list on the site, (for 65 days as of my writing). Are academic institutions using Amazon for bulk purchases that "inflate" the numbers?
