Not comprehensive study aid May 19, 2009 Samia Amin (Columbus, GA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is great in covering topics such as, geometry, word problems, basic arithmetic, and data Interpretation, but it does not cover topics like interest rate calculations, probability, counting Principle, sequence, advanced arithmetic practice questions, computation, etc. So, there is a lot that is missing here. This is not enough. I suggest that study from variety of sources. Do not rely on 1 or 2 books only.

The practice tests and helpful hints throughout the book have really helped me a lot.
A little repetitive March 21, 2009 Sarah Ney 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good product if you struggle with math or are just looking to bring up your score. However compared to Kaplan's general exam book, it is a little repetitive. I would have preferred that they introduce more new material. Overall I would recommend it, though it may be more catered to those with a lower score rather than those who already scoring high and wish to improve.
A little short on trickier sample questions March 5, 2009 Dimitri Shvorob (Nashville, Tennessee) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very decent book, but if you are going for 800, you will want to see tougher questions than those available in its "advanced" sections, especially on number properties and set probabilities.

This book is good for those who haven't looked at a math problem in years and are just hoping to "pass" the quantitative section.
If you are looking to actually do well on the GRE quantitative section (scoring in the 90th+ percentile), then this book isn't for you. It just leaves too much stuff out.
