Condition: All pages are intact and perfectly usable. There is some writing with pencil on the inside from when I studied, but it will still provide you with an invaluable amount of practice questions. Has lots of tips for taking the GRE as well as for applying and getting into grad shcool. It definitely helped me get into my first choice PhD program! The CD ROM is not included, but it does provide you with 5 full length practice tests as well as a code to take a practice test online.

This book is a sham, I bought this book based on the mostly positive scores it got, and I can honestly tell you that it was the biggest waste of money. I am starting to think that the positive reviews are coming from somewhere in the company.
first the verbal section is very short, I did not learn a lot of new words, and I am by no means a walking dictionary.
second the "advice" they give you is ridiculous, if this really helped you then you should seriously consider not going to graduate school.
third, the worst part the math review, that is where this was the weakest, my favorite part is where they tell you that if you start scoring over 700 you will start seeing problems with topics that are not covered in depth. so then why did I buy the book????
finally the really bad editing job someone made, or actually, did not make before this piece of crap book went to print. there are spelling errors every where, and math mistakes every where, with no online errata to be found.
I would not take this book even if it was free.
I highly recommend though the Nova math bible, way better book, with really good examples and explanations. I hope you have not bought the kaplan book before you read this, and if you did, I sugest you return it and look for something else.

If you want to buy the Kaplan book with the CD and are using vista, DONT BUY IT. It does not clearly state anywhere on the book that the CD will not work with windows vista but it will not. Also, you can return the book to Kaplan for a refund, but the hefty shipping costs and time you spend at the post office are on your dime. Just go with Princeton review, their book has better advice and practice questions anyway.
