Beware the language September 14, 2009 Laura Samuelson 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Love the book right up until the last chapter when he dropped the F bomb so often I would have thought that someone else wrote that chapter. Totally unnecessary and makes it impossible to recommend this book to my teenagers or other close friends. Sorry that it ended with that kind of a wrap-up.
Black in America September 13, 2009 Roderick Holland (Jonesboro, Ga USA) 3 out of 10 found this review helpful
It is ashame that you would infuse your politics within this book especially your dislike for an African American president. It is evident, given the president's short time in office, that it's not what he done in office which you dislike which leaves only his color you must dislike. I will never buy any of your books again. Did you ever think that some of your readers may even be African Americans??? Thanks for showing your racism!!!
Great book! September 11, 2009 A. Brucato (Belvidere, Illinois United States) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I saw Brad Thor on Fox News and was intrigued by his book. I ordered it, received it in record time, read it in record time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Get ready to "not put it down once you start". It says so much about our involvement in the middle East.
Great writer !! September 11, 2009 Doug Lawton (Lake Burton in NE Georgia) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is my first reading of any of Brad Thor's books but it will not be the last. I read it in an afternoon, just couldn't put it down !!!
Highly recommend this book !!
The Apostle by Brad Thor September 9, 2009 William D. Peebles 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
The Apostle . Does not live up to the standards of a " Bestselling Author of Thrillers" If this was the first book of Mr. Thor I would not bother reading another.
There is very little suspense, with an unbelievable plot and long boring descriptions of the locations. and finally the character" Scot Harvath" must be getting old and tired for he
does not have the same Savvy as he did in the previous books. However I look forward to more books from Brad Thor.
One more thing.. The endorsements from " Chicago Tribune and Publishers Weekly" are becoming .. Redundant.. I don't believe they even read the book.
