Glen Beck - REALLY? October 9, 2009 samuel clemmens (texas) 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
Enjoyed the book, but read the Acknowledgements, and I must say, I cannot believe you are "a good friend of Glen Beck". I thought I found another author to read and made a connection with, but I am really turned off by the fact you consider Glen Beck a good friend. Do you cry as often as he does on TV? Come on, Man up!!
The way it is October 5, 2009 David A. Spearman (Harbor Beach, Michigan United States) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
A very telling novel. The line is quite standard in the fact of a kidnaping followed by a rescue and a second plot lower with the President envolved. The main theme to me was the political statement that was made. Anyone that ever served exspecially during Vietnam can see the same thing forming. The graft, the training of the Afgans(which could go on forever as far as they are concerned) the payoffs for everything from a hello to classified info.Worse of all the control of the politicians to a war that none of them know a thing about having never served. It may be fiction but let us pray there are men like these in the book that now are serving. Without them we are lost, we are becoming a nation of scared deer. Try this book you will love it.
The Apostle is a MUST read September 25, 2009 Phyllis A. Rose (Llano, Texas, USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Brad Thor was thorough in his research of the Taliban and how they operate in Afghanistan. He writes in such a way that you are there! It is exciting, chiling and has exceptional twists and turns you are not expecting. Great reading.

I literally could not put this book down! This is the latest in a line of Brad Thor books that makes me ask...when does the next one come out? If you are a Brad Thor fan, The Apostle will not disappoint. Well worth reading!

This book was great,if you like the military thrillers from Tom Clancy type writer it is worth the read. I am a fan of Brad Thor and have read the entire series. This edition was great but honestly not as great as the first ones.
