Lots of obvious typos and mistakes. You would think a book of this importance (and expense-$50) would be edited by someone who would catch these glaring errors of basic medical knowledge. Doesn't make me too confident about the overall content either.

I wish I could return the this book! It is all in outline format and doesn't explain anything. Difficult to follow and stay interested in.

I have to say, this is not a very good review book. Sure, it follows the NCCPA blueprint but big deal. Anyone can take the blueprint and write a paragraph on each condition. Heck, it only takes a few hours to do it yourself, and that is all the author has done here. Overall, the text is way to basic to be of any benefit and the questions are laughable often with incorrect answers. For example, one questions states that you do not hear an S4 gallop in heart failure but only in an MI. While, if you look back at the book's own notes it states an S4 is heard in heart failure. My suggestion is to use this book very carefully.

Excellent review book for recertification course. The material is concise and right to the point. Excellent explanations are included.

This book is wonderful!! I think a lot of people that are dissatisfied because they said it wasn't enough review questions, were scared to scratch off the password to go to the simulation site!! The simulation test and review is wonderful! The questions really test your knowledge and gives me confidence going into the boards! The explainations were straightforward and made a lot of since. I had the pleasure of being a student of Mr. Van Rhee's briefly during my graduate education and he couldn't have made the review anymore plain and memorable...I felt like I got a wonderful review!!
