Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary 21st Edition March 28, 2009 Donald W. Decoster III (Tidewater, Virginia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am currently a nursing student in my final year. I have seen a number of medical encyclopedias / dictionaries, and in my opinion, Taber's is by far the best I have used. It is loaded with useful illustrations, and never did this cyclopedia not contain the medical term I was looking for information on. Judge for youself, but I don't believe that you will find another medical dictionary / encyclopedia any better than Taber's, and most of them are not nearly as good.
Great asset March 24, 2009 P. McDowell (Laurens, SC) This has been a great asset to me. I think it was the best investment I could have made. It helps me in my medical terminology class as well as with my family's health issues. Recommend it highly.
Excellent resource March 20, 2009 E. Wartenbee (Newark, OH United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a student of medical coding and Taber's has been indispensible to me. It includes excellent charts and entries that I will use for years to come. In some cases it explains things more thoroughly than my textbooks do! A must have for many areas of the medical field.
