The best presentation book I have ever read April 1, 2009 Ken Jansen (Overland Park, KS) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Simply put - this is the best presentation book I have ever read. Nancy Duarte explains the concepts and gives outstanding examples. One of the best business books in my library. I suggest every salesperson, trainer, or communicator buy it and read it several times.
Meetings which turn out to be essentially reading a document aloud drive me crazy. This book will help everyone.
I have two copies and I am passing one along to a friend.
The best book on presentation ever... March 30, 2009 Srivatsan Desikan (USA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic book. Concepts are clearly explained, well reasoned and clearly illustrated. Its a must-read for anyone in the need to use powerpoint as a tool for communication. I would recommend that this book be made into a course and taught in all professional schooll in the undergrad level so that students learn the right way to go about telling stories through powerpoint from the very beginning.
Really practical and helpful March 26, 2009 I. Sanchez (Costa Rica) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The book has bright ideas that are very easy to put into work. No matter if your are a beginner or an expert, this book will guide you to make better presentations.
Near Perfect Must Buy March 19, 2009 John Farrar (Stevensville, MI) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The author gives great content, practical how to do create a presentation and more. It did sadden me that the color wheel concept wasn't using the correct base colors. You cannot totally fault the author though because this is a common error. (Red, Green, Blue for screen... Cyan, Yellow, Magenta for print.) Now with that aside this book will expand your presentation abilities because it helps you see things from a number of different perspectives. This is good because your audience also is made up from many different perspectives. Now you might do a better job speaking to your audience and not just about your topic.
A little misleading February 14, 2009 scheinerinc. (New City, New York USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
While there is some very good rules of thumb to follow, for the most part is very basic. I thought that the examples shown were going to be a bit more stylized and less off a traditional format.
