Helpful but not excellent. March 14, 2009 Angie B. (Idaho) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
My last review didn't seem to be helpful, so let me try again.
I was thrilled to receive this book, finally! I needed help and direction to figure out my new Elements 7. The book is huge!
It helped me out in many ways, but my mind was still blown! It was hard to figure things out because she expects you to already know some stuff. Its quite hard to understand and not a true step by step. The illustrations are horrible!
When I saw Scott Kelby had published a new Elements 7 book then I also bought his. Much, much, 100% better!! Full color pages, easy to read and understand and in almost elementary form.
Skip the Brundage book and go for The Photoshop's Elements 7 Book by Scott Kelby!
Great book March 8, 2009 Darrell Adams (Prather, CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is excellent. Talks about different features and then explains how to use it with easy to follow examples. I've had great success with the program after reading the book.

Not the greatest way to go. It is not geared for those of us just learning. It seems to skip too may steps. I had to buy another book and I just hope it will better.
Very Helpful March 5, 2009 Nancy Wu 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It does seem to be the missing manual to me. I never really understood Photoshop Elements that well, but picked it up because my friend's photos looked so much better than mine and we had the same camera.
They showed me a couple of settings on the camera to try and then gave me a quick run through on Photoshop and I picked this up to help learn some more.
Very good reference book and my photos are getting better.

The sub-title is correct, "The book that should haave been in the box". I have been using Photoshop Elements for ten years, and this book has shed light on subjects that were difficult, or impossible to follow under Help.
