Love it September 30, 2005 J. Curry (West Michigan) 3 out of 28 found this review helpful
This is a great book. If I'm not reading it, I'm thinking about what I've learned from the text and how to apply it to business valuations.
Outstanding Guide September 26, 2005 M. McClure (Bethesda, MD) 9 out of 20 found this review helpful
A friend highly recommended this book to me and I am glad I bought myself a copy. Although the concepts are insightful and brilliant, the text is very readable and it contains plenty of graphs and charts to explain them. The book clears up some common misperceptions, many of which I had succumbed to. For example, I had thought that a company announcing earnings less than what analysts' had expected would almost always have a negative impact on the stock, but the authors point out that this is not the case, especially when the company's long term growth prospects are not affected by the announcement (see p. 77). I am learning a tremendous amount from this book, and I would highly recommend it.

Great, But Pricey! July 20, 2005 DJ 17 out of 40 found this review helpful
I read almost 1/2 of it at Borders today.
I was so self-absorbed, they almost had to drag me out by the time the store was ready to close.
The writing is very clear and I expect to buy a copy for myself soon enough.
This is one of those books finance professionals and MBA students/grads just have to have on their reference shelves.
The P/E multiple chapter had me salivating...
Make sure you pick up the 4th Edition, just released.

This is the best book of it's kind on the market. Do yourself and your business a favor and read it.
