The House of Dimon June 16, 2009 Michael Lemke 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was very dissapointed in the book. It read more like a vanity book published by the subject rather than an objective analysis. It seemed like Dimon's name was mentioned on every other page. I would much rather have read more about the events involved in Dimon's rise and fall and rise again than the concentration on Dimon's own character and what a smart and forward-looking guy he was.

To be successful, one needs to study individuals who have been successful in the different aspects of one's life. Studying the man as was written in the House of Diman gave a very good insight. If one wants to understand how to become a successful manager, study Mr. Dimon's techniques. One of his many strengths is in the area of finance. Want to understand finance, take a course in accounting and finance and build upon it. He is not afraid to speak his mind and we need leaders in that area. He is honest, ethical, and open. Nothing is hidden. Individuals can do the same. Learn from what he has to offer.

Challenging the world of finance. June 11, 2009 Cyn (Wisconsin) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book really reveals how a "refugee from bureaucracy" can succeed and still maintain doing the right thing. Good example of how failure can lead to more success. Not the regular Wall Street kind of guy you would expect;common sense, not politics. Goes to show how everything is in the details. A must read for anyone in finance and business.

My husband is a big fan of Jamie Dimon Rose and follows his financial advice and theories regarding JP Morgan. This was a gift which he appreciated immensely.
Thank you,

The author has presented to the reader an opportunity to successfully look into the life and character of Jamie Dimon and determine for ones self those actions that are helpful in today's management style.
She clearly and eloquently presents a story in a way that you can step into the shoes of Jamie Dimon and understand how choices had to be made.
It was a pleasure to read from beginning to end.
