wonderful reference for your AP biology class July 11, 2001 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
i just got my score for the bio test and earned a "5". i was soo happy and i think this book was a wonderful help in my studying. i listened well in class and came home and reviewed with this book. that worked out to be a strategy for my learning. this book closly followed our real textbook (cambell's biology) and including a great lecture on every subject-read this book and garunteeed a "3" -really read and follow along for a "4" -review throurouly before the test and take as many practice exams as possible for a "5" -better than princton and barrons for the sheer amount of info on every thing. -only one practice test so get some from your teacher.
One Great Book! May 24, 2001 A. Garg (Lexington, MA USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is the best AP Biology review manual that I found. I actually went to the bookstore and looked at the ones from The Princeton Review, Barron's, and a couple others. This book was by far the best one that I found. I then went and bought this book on Amazon.com becuase it was cheaper here.I just took the AP last May (May 16, 2001) and I would recommend this book to everyone. The summaries are in-depth with just the right amount of detail. They also had a review of all the required labs. But as always, you should do some checking around and take a look at all of them. Check the date that they were published too. By the way, I got a 5 (out of 5) on the AP.
All you ever need May 5, 2001 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My school does not even have an AP biology class; yet with the help of this book I received a 5 on the Biology exam. It is very compact and direct, and the practice questions were more difficult than on the actual exam (a good thing). It also provided sufficient detail to make the concepts more concrete and memorable. This book is a must for quick review, and followed right along with my textbook (I recommmend Neil Campbell's BIOLOGY).
If you need a 5 on the AP test April 28, 2001 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Aside from my AP class, this is the MOST comprehensive AP Biology study guide book. If you read the book thoroughly, you will at least get a 3 guaranteed. I've tried other study guide books like Barron's, Princeton Review, and REA, but this is the best.
