Excellent book - a great reference April 29, 1999 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book picks up where Eat Right For Your Type leaves off. Cook Right for Your Type explains how to incorporate your individual plan into your lifestyle. This book has had a great impact on my health after only a short time. I highly recommend it!
Another A+ for the good Doctor March 19, 1999 virginia_a_roddy@notes.seagate.com (Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz County, CA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
In response to "Chicago" dated 12/18/98, I hope by now you have dumped your ignorant doctor. Anyone who thinks this book, and "Eat right 4 Your Type" are "complete nonsense" are out of touch with what's going on today. Those of us that study nutrition don't need this kind of doctor anymore because we're so healthy. Don't give up and be sure to get his other book. To "earljviolet" dated 12/24/98, look for sprouted wheat bread.. "Alvarado Street Bakery" out of Santa Cruz County makes a wonderful bread and you won't miss wheat. Also, try rice noodles..you won't even miss pasta. This book along with "Eat right..." belongs on everyone's bookshelf; they may save your life. Don't let the skeptics fool you. I'm A+ and my husband's O, a little tricky, but workable. Lot's of compromise.
This has to be the best book ever written! February 6, 1999 I'm ordering this book because a friend of mine said she'd gone to a meeting and this book became the topic of conversation shortly after it was introduced and sense then it's all she ever talks about. I must have it!!!
Thanks, Peter! January 13, 1999 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
'Cook Right For Your Type' takes up where 'Eat Right for Your Type' left off. Easy to follow, delicious recipes that indicate which blood types should and should not use them. Now when my sister and her family (predominately A's) come over, I know which of my favorites (I'm an O) will be okay to make. I started following the recommendations in ER4YT just before Thanksgiving and have lost a total of 13 pounds. Over the holidays!!!! I don't feel the least bit deprived. On the contrary, I feel great. Better still, I feel great about myself.
Very appealing; makes sense January 7, 1999 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I like this book. I just came off the Adkins Diet and lost 26 pounds from that but cannot seem to get below 180. I'd like to go down to 170 or 175. I'm going to give this blood type diet a try. Reading it generated some more questions for me though. What are Azuki beans? Is the sweetener Stevia bad for me? Can I continue to take L-carnitine as a supplement?
