I normally don't even glance at a book if it has the word 'diet' anywhere in the title, but this theory really intrigued me! A great deal of research obviously went into Dr. D'Adamo's work, and I found it not only sensible, but incredibly fascinating. While not every guideline in the author's theories worked for me, the majority of his suggestions for dietary changes made a significant difference. His ideas make a lot of sense, and I would encourage anyone looking to improve their health to give it a try. Wonderful reading from cover to cover!

I am an O+ blood type. Eat Right 4 Your Type was recommended to me by my doctor, because of sinus, allergy and uppper respiratory conditions. At first, before reading the book, he told me to stay away from dairy, pork, corn, potatos and WHEAT! OH BOY! Is he for real?! After all, wheat is found in everything! Reluctantly, I bought the book and read it and followed the O TYPE diet for 2 weeks. What a change! My energy level was increased, my ADD was better, and so was my hypoglycemia! I was also intrigued by the correlation to the foods mentioned in the Bible. Most of what I should eat and should not eat were also stated as such in the Bible. Because of my hectic schedule, though, I find it difficult to maintain this diet, especially not having wheat products. Fast food is so much more convenient, but loaded with no-nos. My twin sister has been successful at losing weight and increasing her energy level with the diet. A GREAT BOOK - especially if you have will power! - Karen M.

Dr. D'Adamo is definitely onto something here. Being 46 yrs old and struggling with subpar health and excessive weight i tried the book at the recommendation of my doctor. In Feb 1997 i weighted 190 and had BP of 145/95. I was on BP medicine and wanted off. Well now Im off. ER4YT is a fantastic book Ive lost 25lbs BP is 115/75 and I feel better than ever. Thhe book is straight forward and easy to follow. Of course theres the usual 100 pages where the Dr toots his own horn which have no benefit to the reader, but after that its all business. Lots of good recipes and general health info. He even tells the reader what vitamins and herbs to take for each type. This book is a must for everyone. Read it.

I'am an A blood type, with many allergies... and over weight. I tried to follow the Zone Diet, but felt I needed a personal trainer to help me set up all the facts and figures... With the Blood Type Diet, I have lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks and my allergies have improved to the point of not taking any medications...Please read this book for the health of it.....

I would like to state that the 7/6/97 review by NORRISS fails to mention that lactose intolerance is talked about in detail for blood type B (p. 152). The book is a good read for anyone striving to optimize their overall health and well-being
