4 out of 5 stars My daughter loved it!   September 6, 2009

My kids are reading more and this was I great book that kept my daughter's interest. She laughed while reading the book and its all ways a good thing when an author can keep kids interested in what they write. Pick up a copy for your kid. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Remember your summer job??? This is WAY better....   July 10, 2009

This is a GREAT read for kids and adults! It starts with a gift of an old lawn mower and turns into a million dollar business run by a 12 year old kid who accidentally becomes rich with a grass-cutting business. This book explains the concepts of supply and demand, starting a business, capitalism, stock market; it's entrepreneurship at it's best!
A quick read that with subtle humor. Any kid, or adult, that reads Lawn Boy, should be inspired to start their own business; no matter how small. You never know what could happen!

3 out of 5 stars Good idea; unnecessary content   May 31, 2009

This book is a compelling reason why parents need to read their children's reading material before the children. This could have been a fantastic book, but unnecessary mentions of adultery and hiding the hiring of illegal immigrants ruined it.

I think this book is good for learning about the economy and starting your own buisness. This books chapters all started with a real economic phrase. It talks about the stock market, bonuses, and spreading the wealth. My brother, who is in third grade, found it very confusing and because he didn't understand it, he thought it was very dull. I think it is the next level of Toothpaste Millionare, another book about a boy about the same age starting his own buisness. Toothpaste Millionaire is good for grades 2 and up. I think that Lawn Boy is good for my age group but I found some concepts a little confusing.

5 out of 5 stars Great book!   May 12, 2009
This is a great book!
I really enjoyed reading it. It's nice that a 12 year old starts his own business mowing lawns and learns about money and stocks! I love this book!
