Review of Hot, Flat and Crowded October 17, 2009 Ben Cole (Holbrook, AZ United States) This work is extremely well written by a very informed writer. I highly recommend it to anyone who is concerned with the environment or in favor of renewable energy sources.
Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution--and How It Can Renew America by Thomas L. Friedman October 5, 2009 Aziz Mohammad This was just a great purchase!!!!!
I needed this book for my COMM 1010 Course at University of North Texas, and
when I went searching for this book it was actually on sale!
Instead of paying about $30 for the book, I actually paid $9.78 only with
everything included (tax and shipping/handling)!
I am glad that Amazon had this book on sale since all of my other textbooks
were worth a whole lot more (Let's say $500 total)!
The book is a great read, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is into
learning about the crisis of America and the reason behind it. Thomas Friedman has
done a great job, and he deserves to have his book read! =)
It should go viral-I mean it should be made into a vaccine. September 28, 2009 Clark Douglas Mishler (Georgia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Since everyone is too busy, too lazy to read, or too stupid to comprehend what they read, this book should be made into a vaccine and INJECTED into everyone who inhabits this planet. (especially the ones that live in this country and CONGRESS)!
perfect September 21, 2009 Venny Yosephine (Los Angeles, CA) I bought this book with a very good deal. The price way more cheaper from what I found before. Great shipping.
Friedman is a scary guy September 9, 2009 Greg Zerovnik (Los Angeles, CA) This is a very scary book. True, there are a lot of solutions proposed to the problems that Friedman discusses; but before you get to them this survey of the state of the planet is very, very scary. "Hot, flat and crowded" is a piece of understatement as a title. Friedman details the host of problems we are already experiencing, and does an all-too-good job of showing where the pathways lead: Armageddon. Unless we do something about it. Clearly, it's time for real change. What isn't clear is how ready we are to embrace it.
