only instructors have access to the errata sheets????? August 20, 2009 Christopher A. Woolley (Dayton, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very well written book, very good and thorough explanation of material. I would have given it 5 stars, except for one major issue:
There are several typos in problems, where a minus sign was replaced with a 2. So, 215% should actually read -15% in some places. Also, there is at least one formula where a set of parenthesis are missing in the chapter, but do show up in the appendix formulas. This is not the BIG issue.
The issue is that the publisher feels that only professors should have access to the errata sheet. If you go to the southwestern cengage website, the errata sheet is locked as an instructor resource. That, in my opinion, is ridiculous!
MBA Student, non-business undergrad major July 11, 2009 T McClinton (USA) I have only gotten through the first four chapters of the book, and aside from a few typos, it appears to be a pretty good text. Comprehending the material requires extra effort for non-business majors (as is to be expected), so be prepared to read very closely and figure the less obvious material out through deduction and through working the problems at the ends of the chapters.
Value Enterprise Review July 1, 2009 Elzoma (MD, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted the 12th edition but got the 11th edition., even though I searched for the 12th edition and and what popped up on the search were 12 editions but I was sent an 11th edition. Do not buy from Value Enterprises
Most boring book ever!!! June 10, 2009 Steve Baker 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am taking a financial management class, and this is the course book for the class. Concensus of the students is that this book does not provide good examples of the concepts it tries to teach.
Most course books are at least an entertaining read. Not this one. It is very dry, and it does not do a good job at explaining complicated processes.

I have purchased items from Amazon.com for about four years now. Every purchase has been very good. Excellent product, fast delivery..I prefer to order what I need before going to the store, especially when it comes to books and music. I would recommend your website to anyone!
