Great prep for written boards July 26, 2006 Aggie Anesthesiologist (San Antonio, TX, United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I thought this Q&A review book was easily the most "bang for the buck" in preparation for the written boards. It does require a solid fundamental knowledge of anesthesiology, but the questions are very representative of written board-type questions, and the answers are comprehensive and largely satisfactory. Textbook references are fairly comprehensive and accurate. I highly recommend this book as a final step in preparation for the written boards!
Great review book April 20, 2006 Sunning in NC 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I read this book 3-4 times. The pedi section is very good. The explanations are where the money is becuase the themes repeat on the exam. If you can grasp the concept and understand the explaination - its very high yeild - at least it was for me.
Awesome!! February 26, 2006 Dr. H. Dozier (Atlanta, GA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a great book for board review!!! The questions are separated by subject (cardiothoracic, ICU, pediatrics etc). The questions are actually more difficult than the boards with excellent annotation and references.
great book for anesthesia resident January 20, 2006 S. Kamaru (Eugene, OR) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you are looking for practice exam for the ABA in-training exam. This is one of the best question book out there. All questions come with in depth answer with reference to major textbook. Highly recommended for everyone preparing for ABA written exam!
Anesthesia: A Comprehensive Review May 21, 2003 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you thought Faust's book made anesthesiology interesting, this one brings it to life. Between Faust's book and Hall's who needs anything else to pass the board exams. The Merck manual might be all you need to put all of medical knowledge in your briefcase.
