Gratuitous September 17, 2009 David Hixon 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a big fan of Patterson's books but I have to say I was extremely disappointed in this particular novel. I cannot really add much to the already excellent reviews other than to warn the reader that the violence in this book is extremely gratuitous. It is simply over-the-top gory and not really necessary. Not necessary except that is about the only interesting thing about the book. I did read the book quickly but mainly just to get through with it. I hope this is not a trend in Patterson's style of writing. I would be very disappointed.
Just Ok...Thank goodness it is a quick review September 17, 2009 ojodeazul (New Jersey) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have generally liked most of Paterson's books, especially the first few Women's Murder Club books. This book was entirely too graphic and not enough substance. As another reviewer indicated that end was just bad...wrapped things up too quickly but not well. It is a quick read, and I would normally say this is a good beach read, but the graphic nature of it, may not be for some.

I had this on audio
Going along all is good, get to the last disk and it's time to close up shop.
The ending was terrible . . . you wonder if we've got a "Alex Cross" type novel, where out evil character is being saved for another book

Pornographic September 13, 2009 J. Richardson (Rio Rancho NM) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of if not the worst book I have read by Patterson. I really wonder if he even read what Maxine Paetro had written. It was way over the top. I was excited to read a new Patterson book but unfortunately didn't read the reviews first. There is way too much graphic violence.[...].
James Patterson didn't write this book September 13, 2009 Sunshine (Florida) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book was selected for our bookclub read and the person that recommended it should be kicked out of our club! This is a terrible book that was written by someone else and James Pattersons name is put on it by his publishing company just to sell books! I will never read another book with James Pattersons name on it!!
