5 out of 5 stars Wonderful, Wonderful Book   October 14, 2005

When Bella Swan moves to Forks, she doesn't have high expectations. She's never related well to people, and Forks is so small that everyone knows everyone already. But when she starts school she attracts many friends-- boys and girls alike, including the one boy who has never dated anyone at Forks High School-- until now. Edward tells Bella straight off that she should stay away from him, but she is far to infatuated to listen. Even when she discovers that he and his family are vampires, she continues their connection. But as their relationship, and love, blossoms, Bella realizes that she is not merely endangering herself, as Edward warned her, but everyone close to her. This is without a doubt one of the most romantic, suspenseful, and moving books I have ever read. No matter what your age or favorite genre is, Twilight has something that will attract all readers, and pull them into a world of passion and excitement that they will never want to leave.

This is, by far, one of the best vampire books I've read in a while. Actually it's one of the best books, period.

It's for many reasons:

Firstly, the main character isn't typical. She isn't a geek, a jock, or goth-- She's just...normal. A little sarcastic and anti-social maybe, but I connected with her instantly.

It's a book that, while being mature, isn't drenched in the usual sex and blood that makes a good vampire book so hard to find. It's a romance, but it's nowhere near sweet. It's not overly wordy, either - you know what's going on.

Edward is a great character to, and his family is especially endearing - particularly Alice. Meyer's imagination on what vampires would actually be like is really cool. No turning to stone in the sun, folks!

All in all, I could not put this down. If you're a teen looking for a good read, this is it. If you're an adult in need of a good vampire book or a good romance, it'll satisfy you, to.

One of my favorites, instantly. A lot of romance, some comedy, some blood, some action - you have to read this.

Well first of all, I read about this book in TeenPeople Magazine and their summary of Twilight sounded good for me.. So the next day, my mother picked it up for me. I finished this book in less than 1 day, and this book really touched me. It is not a bloody-gorey book. This book will make u say aws and cry, so I hope you have tissues by you. Meyer described the characters really well, it is almost like you can have the image in your head.
Main characters, Bella and Edward, are the best. But you will have to read it to know what happens.

Seriously, this book will give you a little romance, suspense, and compassion.

5 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing   October 12, 2005

I'm an avid reader and 24 years old. I've never read a book that touched me so deeply. It's simply amazing. I cannot find other words that describe how beautifully this book was written and how connected I became with the characters. I read this book last Saturday and have re-read it a zillion more times (I know, I am crazy). :) The predominant love story is so sensual and so real and you connect with both the human and vampire side of the main characters, Bella and Edward.

No other book or story of characters will ever touch me so deeply. I firmly believe this. I won't discuss the plot - you just have to read it yourself. All I can say is do buy the book and read it, no matter what your age. The words are powerful, the emotions that Bella and Edward display through their eyes are extraordinary, and you'll be tortured to have to wait for the sequel to come out next year. Stephenie Meyer is an amazing writer and I can't wait to delve deep into the world of Forks and to follow Bella and Edward in the coming years.

I read this book in 2 days. It was one of the best books I have ever read. It was fun to read and the plot was well thought out and I didn't want to put it down. I would recommend it to anyone of any age.
