Love Richard Scarry books February 26, 2009 GrandKat (North Carolina) I sent this to my 3-year-old grandson; I had already given him the Richard Scarry Word Book. He loves them both. BUT I just ordered from Amazon sellers two used (but almost perfect condition) copies of the First Picture Dictionary Ever, which is out of print, alas. The Dictionary was the favorite of my two daughters, and now I have a copy to give each family. All Richard Scarry books are gentle and engaging with so much detail that the child notices new things with each reading. Can't say enough good things! I think ages 1 year (with supervision) to as old as 8, but 3 to 6 really love these books. They will bring the book to you to read, and then they will teach themselves to read.
2 year old loves it! October 18, 2008 Rachel My 2 year old son loves this book. He wants to read it at least twice a day, and it always holds his attention until the end. He loves looking for all of the little details in the pictures- for instance, he goes through and shows me all of the pictures that have fire hydrants in them, or all of the characters who are eating apples, etc. Worth every penny and then some!
Richard Scarry's Busy, Busy Town September 1, 2008 Cheryl A. Buckles (Bartlesville, OK) My children loved Richard Scarry and it's fun to now introduce the grandchildren to the same books and games. They like them just as much as my own did. I'm so glad this one was available. Great condition.
Richard Scarry is great! July 25, 2008 Book Lover (Cypress Texas) These books are great! I loved them as a child and now my 2 year old loves them too!
We love this book! June 5, 2008 KMG My son is 23 months and can't get enough of Busy Town. We read it day and night. It is a great book for communication and word development. I recommend all of Richard Scarry's books.
