I never received the book I ordered. I did e-mail the person I bought the book from three times. They responded to my first e-mail advising me that it may take a couple weeks to get the product. My first e-mail was sent before the final arrival date of the book. My contract with the seller was that the book would arrive by May 26, 2009. The other two e-mails were sent after the May 26, 2009 arrival date, but the seller has not responded. I am starting the 3rd week of my class so I am going to now purchase the book from the school. I had to rate this item with something because my message could not be sent so I rated it as a one, but really cant rate the product because I never got it. Please advise how I go about getting my money back since it was never received. I am assuming it is lost in the mail system somewhere, and if I do receive it, I will return to sender once I get my money back.
Thanks for your time.
Intermediate Algebra Book Review June 1, 2009 L. Black (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book was exactly what I expected it to be. I just finished up with Elementary Algebra and am going straight into Intermediate and a lot of the beginning chapters are review over what we discussed in Elementary Algebra. I like to be given the opportunity to remind myself of all the rules and how things are done. This book allows a person to do just that.
I give the book five stars because it is exactly what I expected the book to be.
Intermediate Algebra February 15, 2009 Tesa Lee Clark (Arkansas, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is ok. Algebra is not my favorite subject though. There's plenty of practice problems and reviews for the test. Overall I don't think you could find a better algebra book. This book and my teacher are keeping me passing so I am happy with what this book has to offer.
Disorganized December 24, 2008 E. Weber (NH United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is very hard to follow in my opinion.
The main problem is that the actual information is lost in the middle of plenty of examples making it very hard for the student to synthesize the topic. To make matter worse, the example seems to stick out more that the remaining of the text due to too much colors in the titles. Most of the text of each chapter could fit in just a couple pages highlighted by a couple of judicious examples and demonstrations.
