4 out of 5 stars Read it and weep for our Republic   October 8, 2009

This is a fantastic book, detailing where all the Stimulus Bill money actually went. It should have been entitled "No Bureaocrat Left Behind" as it was only an expansion of the tax consuming class, not an economic stimulus at all.
Morris does a fine job of detailing the systemic corruption of bank bailouts-campaign contribution-lobbying in Washington.
Particularly, he details the shady financial dealings of Senator Chris Dodd. Of course, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, his father, Senator Thomas Dodd was chest deep in campaign funds for personal use, and influence peddling which eventually led to his censure in the Senate.
These days, corruption and payoffs is such standard fair, there is little chance Chris Dodd will ever be censured by his senate cronies.
Morris chronicles how the tax laws are used to buy votes of the public tax consumers at the expense of the working and tax paying class. What FDR started, BO is bound to finish so as to insure the "spend, spend; elect, elect" mantra of the left.
The analysis is right on target, economic, political, and social.
The only flaw in this book are the last two chapters which should be entitled, chapters in search of a book. One is on the rights of airline passengers and the others on the so-called "post-trumatic stress disorder", recently created by out of work psychologists. Neither follows the story line of the book and why they are included is a mystery.
Very good book, Morris and his co-author,Eileen McGann, have done a thorough job in research and writing. The only point missing, is that this all didn't start when BO got elected, pols of both parties have been working on the demise of our Republic for many, many years.

5 out of 5 stars A must read   October 6, 2009

This is the third book I have read from Dick Morris. It should be a requirement for all Americans to read this book. The interesting thing is Morris worked in the Clinton admin, and yet he brings out the corruption from both sides of the isle. So far, his predictions are dead on. READ THIS BOOK, and then pass it on to someone else, and make them read it. Just make sure you take your blood pressure medication before you pick up the book... you will need it.

I wish more people would read these type of articles and realized just how bad our congress has gotten.

5 out of 5 stars What a Wonderful Read   October 3, 2009

This book is so good I could not put it down.

On August 29, 1996, Morris resigned from the Clinton campaign after being involved with a prostitute.

In 2003, the IRS filed a $1.5 million tax lien against Morris. He was one of the biggest tax delinquents in his home state of Connecticut, owing an estimated $280,000 in unpaid taxes and a total of $452,367 in unpaid taxes and fees.

5 out of 5 stars The Alarming Facts.   September 30, 2009

Dick Morris and Eileen McGann have done it again. A most informative book, detailing the corruption in our government on both sides. Both parties are taking the country in a direction I never thought I would see and Morris describes exactly how it is being done and why. The nonsense going on in Washington is the stuff of nightmares. I think this is a "must read". Morris doesn't just set out the facts, he also gives some "action plans". The section concerning Shariah compliant investments and mortgages was a real eye-opener.
