My kids LOVE this book. We originally checked it out from the library and they loved it so much they kept asking to re-check it out several times. I bought it and now Mr. Gilly sits on my bookshelf for them to read anytime. It's a good book that uses repetition so that your little ones will be reading right along with you. A must have for your shelf.

My kids absolutely love the Scholastic DVD with Trashy Town. When I found out there is a book as well...I had to buy it. They just love it. They always yell STOP! and NO! at the appropriate times. They always ask me why our trash man doesn't have mice on his trash truck! Definitely a "must have"!

My kids saw this on video before reading the book, which made them want the book. It's a good book for beginning readers, and my 5-year-old is proud that she can read much of it by herself. My kids like the mice that follow Mr. Gilly the trashman through his day. They've now nicknamed our garbage collector "Mr. Gilly."

My kids love the repetitive chorus in this great book! Learn more about the community and how trash collectors help keep our neighborhood clean. We love the bright, bold images, too!

My Three year old grandson loved this book.He knows every truck made. He loves to play trashman with his toys.
