Great Bottle October 22, 2009 Thomas J. Whitling (Maryland) Great bottle for short (10 miles or less) rides. Like the fact you don;t have to tip it which avoids dripping.
Best bottle I've ever used October 19, 2009 lan As someone only used to cheap plastic bottles, this is undoubtedly superior to anything I've ever used. The Sigg bottle is noticeably lighter, but dents on hard impact. My only regret is that I bought the 0.75L bottle instead of the 0.5L one. The 0.75L is fairly large and unbalances me when I run. Runners, especially small ones, should go for the 0.5L bottle.
Good buy October 17, 2009 DS (NM) This new CamelBak BPA-Free bottle is a great improvement over the old ones. It is easy to clean, drip-free, and attractive.
Love this water bottle! October 15, 2009 Ms. Behaves (Delray Beach, FL USA) I bought the .75L bottle 6 months ago and use it pretty much all the time--it goes everywhere with me. After 6 months of regular use the bottle does have some light wear (tiny scuffs/scratches) but it's hardly noticeable. Also, I love the ocean color!
As far as the bite valve goes, I haven't experienced any problems. I'm somewhat used to it from using the CamelBak backpacks. But I just love that it can tip all over the place and doesn't spill a drop. And I'm still using the bite valve it came with and don't need a new one just yet, but I do like the fact that you can purchase replacement bite valves and straws.
It's also really easy to take it apart to clean. Everyday I disassemble and wash it with dish soap. Then occasionally, maybe once a month, I soak the disassembled lid, straw, and bite valve in a weak bleach solution (like a splash of bleach in a gallon or so of water).
Now I'm going to purchase 3 more of these: a 1L for my boyfriend (so he'll stop stealing mine!), a .75L in a different color for myself, and a .5L for when I want to carry a smaller bottle (hopefully it'll fit better in cup holders and my smaller purses).
Overall, I'm really happy with my CamelBak bottle. Love that I don't go through several disposable plastic bottles a day, love that it's BPA free, is easy to carry, doesn't leak, is extremely durable, and that it comes in so many colors and sizes!
Great Water Bottle - Not Kid Proof October 14, 2009 Amy Bass (California United States) I love this water bottle and having the bite valve. The only problem is that my 4 year old and 2 year old chew it up a bit too much and have left holes in the valve. Other than that it is great, just keep it away from your little ones.
