Pretty good, but... November 15, 2009 Cecil (southeast U.S.) I was so happy to see a BPA free version of these bottles, and was given one for Christmas last year. I use it every day--love the holder thing, and like the design, but... Right after I got it, the little plastic thing that helps you flip up the rubber bite thing broke off. I'm hard on my bottles, which is why stainless steel doesn't work for me--it gets all bent up. So of course when I drop my bottles or bump them around the bit, the straw gets dislodged easily. I frequently have to open the thing and reach my hand in to reattach the straw. Not sure this is always totally sanitary. As mentioned earlier, the shape makes it fall out of every cupholder in every car--pretty annoying especially because it's not totally water tight!! Also, water does pool at the top with even the slightest pressure changes. I frequently end up with a small water puddle on my lap. Finally, a minor sort of funny thing is that if anyone wants to share your water, it's a little weird for them to have to bite down and all that... unless they unscrew it and then you have the possibility of a dislodged straw again... I wouldn't get this again. It's not such a big deal for me to tip the bottle to drink out of it.
happy with bottle November 14, 2009 B. Reilly (San Diego, CA) Nothing too special, I prefer the bottle type. Not sure if the "drinking tip" upgrade is worth it. I don't notice a difference.
CamelBak bottle November 12, 2009 Runnerless (Tully, NY) I didn't understand the Bite Valve and haven't been able to get a good drink out of
the bottle.
It is not the fault of the company because that is what they offered.
wouldn't buy it again November 10, 2009 Zoirusha (NY) The major problem with this bottle is that it leaks around the mouthpiece. As long as you carry it upright, you are fine, but when it gets tilted, the water seeps out (trashing whatever else you are carrying in your backpack). Also, the "bite valve" is made out of rubber snugly fitting around a plastic tube. Unless you scrub it thoroughly after each use, I bet it will very quickly become a breeding ground for all sorts of creatures... yuck!!!
Don't buy it.
the perfect water bottle November 9, 2009 Stephanie Standish (IN, USA) This water bottle is GREAT! Drinking out of the built-in straw took a little getting used to, however this water bottle does not leak or require much cleaning. It has already paid for itself, since I no longer drink bottled water.
A worthwhile purchase!
