 Size and quality very poor November 7, 2009

I ordered 2 pairs of 505 from Amazon in the same size as a pair I have, 36 x 32. The new jeans arrived as promised. The labels claimed 36 x 32. These pants are so large that I cannot wear them. I tried washing them in hot water and drying in a hot dryer. They are still way too large. I am returning them to Amazon. I'll never buy Levi brand again. By the way, there are only five belt loops on the new Levi's instead on seven and the material is MUCH thinner. Buyer beware.

I was not sure, when I first purchased this jean, that the color would appear different on computer screen. I like to shop things like food and stuff you can wear in the physical store not online. Anyway, once I received the jean I was satisfied and the condition, color and quality of the item was just like I wanted.

I will not buy Levi's on line again. The cuts are never the same fit for the same size. But I do live Levi's

I recently read a negative review about a vendor of Levis in Florida and I would like to write a very positive review for Gustwillers, a clothing retailer in Ohio. After receiving a bogus ad from Amazon about "free" shipping, I mistakenly clicked on the wrong size of Levis in searching to see if any of the sizes had free shipping. When you "purchase from" Amazon, increasingly you are "purchasing
through" them, as they use more and more third party vendors for fulfillment. The next day when I received the shipping notice, I saw that I had made a mistake. I immediately contacted both Amazon (who sent the unresponsive blanket letter) and Gustwillers who responded immediately, even though it was 10:00pm in Ohio. They intercepted the UPS shipment and resent the size I wanted. They ate the extra shipping cost and the interception fee, even though it was my mistake! This saved me the hassle of returning and repurchasing. They were very pleasant and helpful and I will use them for future retail purchases. Vendors do matter!

This was the best price I could find on the web. They were great jeans, just as advertised but what happened to all the belt loops? I think someone lost count on these. They also took SO long to ship. The best price always seems to comes at a cost...
