1 out of 5 stars Pattern not what it looks like   August 26, 2009

Pretty backpack, very lightweight, but for the Calypso Blue Grunge the pattern on it is not what you'd expect after looking at the website photos. We got this for a 12 year old girl, because she liked the very pretty blues, but when we got it found out that it's covered with skulls. She did not like that one bit, and we've had to return it. Very disappointing. Beware.

5 out of 5 stars perfect backpack for school   August 26, 2009

I bought this backpack for my son who is starting high school. The Kings Plaid fabric looks great and seems tough enough to make it through the year. Also, it has plenty of space for lots of books etc.

Very thin fabric. sent back because we didn't feel it would hold up the 45-lbs that our child has to take daily.

I bought this for my 11 y.o. daughter to use for school and she loves it.

4 out of 5 stars Good backpack, but not for the shorter person   August 3, 2009

I used this backpack throughout high school. It suffered: soda spills, gravel, being kicked around on concrete, and god knows what else. It never broke on me, and it never ripped. It wasn't the most comfortable backpack available, as the straps could use a bit more padding, but it was very durable. In fact, I still own this backpack and use it for camping trips and such. The biggest problem I had with this backpack was that it was far too large for my frame. I could never fill it up completely because of how far it expanded. At 4'11" I looked like I was carrying a mountain on my back. If you're a shorter person, I don't recommend this backpack unless you don't mind looking like a turtle.
