Sturdy and strong. Its hard to find a backpack that holds as much as this does. Definitely would recommend this.

My daughter has a sturdy backpack in perfect condition for the past 3 years purchased at the Children's Place. However, the pattern is childish, so she picked this out for middle school. She loved the colors and all the pockets. Though it can hold a lot, it seems to me that that is dangerous for a child (or anyone for that matter) to carry so much bulky weight. It doesn't seem that sturdy (it's almost sheer in spots) and I have a feeling it may rip before 1/2 the term is over. We hope not.

Largest backpack I could find for my daughter. Couldn't find in any store around where I live. Amazon had it to my house in less than a week. My daughter, a high-school junior, can carry all of her books and whatever else she needs and still have room. The price was perfect, too.
The only reason I have not yet ranked it a "5" star is because we have only had it a month and I am waiting to see the durablity and life expectancy of the product.
Big, lots of compartments September 21, 2007

I bought this backpack to replace a sturdy Swiss Army backpack that lasted a year. I am in college and have some incredibly big books, which will fit into this backpack. However, I have two concerns. One is that the lining that separates compartments is extremely thin. Second is that there really isn't much reinforcement on the bottom of it. Great for the price.
