This book said that the condition was new, but it had a big sharpie mark across the pages.

I bought the Percy Jackson books for my kids but of course i read them. They're perfect for reading on a bus or train during a commute. Easy to follow story lines, some nice semi-surprises and twists. this is a series that needs to be read from the first book. while there are repeated explanation as with any series, only by reading the books do you get the full understanding. Of course the end suggests there may be more books on the way. Looking forward to the Lightning Thief movie.
A Lackluster Conclusion to a Great Series October 15, 2009

I stumbled upon the first in the series at a local bookstore and, after quickly reading it and the rest of the series, impatiently awaited the release of this final book in the series.
I wanted to love it since the series had been so inventive and surprising but I was disappointed. The plot was barely present and the great majority of the book consisted of a drawn out battle with only a few "firework" moments. The ending of the book was predictable and left the story with many loose ends. The character development was overshadowed by a vignettes in the story that felt repetitive from the previous books.
I am not a member of the target demographic for this book and perhaps I would have liked it more if I was a teenage boy.

I just finished reading The Last Olympian and WOW what a great ending to this incredible series by Rick Riordan. I'm sad that this is the last book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians seris as it has easily become my favorite book series. All the books are amazing but this one was my favorite. Now, all I have to look forward to is The Lightning Thief movie and the next Camp Half-Blood series. Everyone BUY the book!!! You won't be disappointed.
