My grandsons love these May 22, 2009 Martha I. Hansen (Northern Virginia,USA) My teenage grandsons love this and the others in the series, and have read them over and over.
Awesome! by J.P. From Annapolis May 18, 2009 If you are a kid you're going to love this book. The title is Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Last Straw, and the author is Jeff Kinney. It is a graphic novel and the main character is a kid named Greg Heffly. My favorite Character is Greg because he's really funny.
I couldn't relate to any of the characters, and they didn't remind me of anyone. I have played on a soccer team like Greg, and in the world some people have problems with life just like the characters in the story. Those are my text-to-self connections.
I liked the book because it was funny. My favorite part is in the beginning when Greg is talking about his family's new year's resolution.
I would change the ending if I could. Boys, ages 8-12, who like funny content will like this book.
Son couldn't put it down! May 17, 2009 Shilom (MI) My son really loves this whole series, so I picked the latest up for his B-day. He couldn't put it down and finished it in a few hours.
If you get out of bed again tonight, you'll probably run into Shel Silverstein in the hallway. May 14, 2009 Johnny Heering (Bethel, CT United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the third book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. It is done in the style of a 12 year old boy's diary. Greg Heffley, the boy in question, is wimp and a lot of the humor comes from his dad's efforts to make him more "manly". Greg describes himself as "pretty much one of the best people I know", but in reality he is a self-centered underachiever. This book is quite funny, for kids and adults alike.
