5 out of 5 stars VERY GOOD!!   February 17, 2009
This was a fun and entertaining book! I like books with involved plots and this one is not too complicated, but a big laugh out loud!

I purchased this book for my 7 year old grandson. He loves it, he has the other books in this series also, and he enjoys them all.

5 out of 5 stars Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw   February 16, 2009

My kids love these books . It is a one night read. My nine year old laughs and laughs and reads me little phrases out loud. I would recommend them for sure.

5 out of 5 stars Not the last book-Pleaaase......   February 15, 2009

Greg Heffley is the reason I like this book. He accidently stops his father from an embarrassing moment, but ends up embarrassing himself on TV.
Although Greg is funny in this book, Rowley is the funniest & gets Greg in awkward situations. Not to mention Rodrick, Greg's brother, who tries to embarrass Greg on purpose.
The drawings in the book add a lot of funny moments and explanations to the story. I'm not going to tell you what my favorite one is because I don't want to give away the ending.
This book is the third in a series, but you don't need to read the others to enjoy this one. But I highly recommend that you read the others. They are very entertaining.
Jeff Kinney, the author, ran a comic strip, and his humor and cleverness show nicely in this book.
DOAWK(Diary Of A Wimpy Kid)is written in a first person narrative, like he's talking directly to you about his life, which made the story feel more real.
I could not put the book down & I finished it in 1 day!
