Story
From the ashes of old conflicts, a new terror arises. The Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained. But a new, more dangerous threat has emerged. Years after surviving the events in Raccoon City, Chris Redfield has been fighting the scourge of bio-organic weapons all over the world. Now a member of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (B.S.A.A.), Chris is sent to Africa to investigate a biological agent that is transforming the populace into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Joined by another local BSSA agent, Sheva Alomar, the two must work together to solve the truth behind the disturbing turn of events.

Exciting Two-Player Co-op Mode
The new cooperative gameplay element focuses on the realities of a dual-agent mission, highlighting the ways in which Redfield and Alomar must work together to survive the unexpected, while still allowing them to split up and work alone. To help you maximize the potential of this setup, two-player online and off-line co-op modes ensure that you have options when aligning yourself with a partner.

Stereoscopic 3D with the PC Version
PC gamers will get the ultimate Resident Evil package in the new PC version as new features will include NVIDIA's new GeForce 3D Vision technology (wireless 3D Vision glasses sold separately). Fans that pick up the PC version of Resident Evil 5 will be the first to experience stereoscopic 3D out of screen effects as their living rooms are transformed into the world of Kijuju. Infected Majini coming at players from every angle, dust flying in and out of screen and the scariest bosses to date are taken up a notch. Resident Evil 5 for PC represents a whole new level of fear that players will never forget. Stereoscopic 3D is also supported in all of the game's cut scenes - an industry first.

An Unprecedented Level of Fear
Co-producer and series veterans Jun Takeuchi (Lost Planet) and Masachika Kawata (Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles) unleash an unprecedented level of fear for the next generation in Resident Evil 5, the sequel to one of the highest-rated video games in history according to Metacritic.com and Gamerankings.com. Promising to revolutionize the series by delivering an unbelievable level of detail, realism and control, Resident Evil 5 is certain to bring new fans to the series. These incredible changes to both the gameplay and world of Resident Evil make this a must-have game for gamers across the globe.

5 out of 5 stars Resident Evil 5 for PC is really fun   October 24, 2009

This game plays and looks great and I especially like using my mouse and keyboard to play it (which was not the case with RE4 for PC). Would recommend to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars Sniper Rifle Fun   October 23, 2009
Stephen Y. Shapiro (Sherman Oaks, Ca United States)
I carry all 3 types of the Sniper Rifles which makes this game FUN and
a First Person Shooter...there is still room to carry 3 other (non FPS guns)
I like the atmospheric scenery and spend half the time just starrring
at SHEVA who is my fantasy dream gun girl. It would be 3 stars without
her....

SecuRom is the only reason you need to pass on this game for the PC..get it for the console.

if you do not know what SecuRom is..then you are really just the type of pawn these big corporate companies desire

5 out of 5 stars Better on the PC   October 19, 2009

I had a PS3 briefly and RE5 was one of the games I really liked on it, but I think the PC version is the best. Any PC gamer will know there is just no comparison with the better accuracy you get with a mouse and keyboard versus a gamepad. Much more precise shooting, this is especially evident in the fast paced mercenaries mode. The game overall is pretty fun but my one complaint is that the story mode is a little short, compared to RE4 at least. Though the mercenaries mode hugely makes up for it with replay value (unlike older RE titles where I would only replay once in a blue moon). Its intense, addictive and incredibly fun - one of the best additions and modes to RE. Nothing like getting attacked by hordes of zombies and having a huge arsenal of weapons to fend them off..! Also in the PC version they added a new No Mercy mode with even larger swarms and it is absolutely nuts. Mercenaries is a blast and a MUST PLAY for all RE fans. Finally, the graphics look slightly better than the console version. You can make out a bit more detail in the PC version and it sure looks pretty. All in all I will say RE5 is right up there with RE2 as my favorites in the series. There seems to be a lot of negative reviews out there because the old RE survival horror style was abandoned. But I think the reverse would happen if they continued the same formula, there would be the "seen it, done that before" complaints. Personally I liked the new fresh direction RE4 took and RE5 just builds on that with more enemies, weapon upgrades and better gameplay.

1 out of 5 stars Killed Activation Codes   October 7, 2009

Sorry I couldn't give "0" stars but I had to click on 1 just to post.

The game is useless to my neighbor.
He paid $52 at Wal-Mart and the activation code is no good.

But like the other reviewer said. It's Securom that's the problem.
Somehow, an old game's Securom code is interfering with the activation of RE 5 on my neighbors computer.
There is no way to fix it except to reformat his hard-drive and reinstall the operating system.

Nice !
