This is an incredible simulation. I did have to upgrade the graphics card for the expansion pack , but it's well worth every cent.
My eleven year old son is flying between Seattle and Columbus right now .......

Fun game. Many improvements over fs9. The missions are really fun, especially the helicopter challenges. All things considered, its amazing that with a super fast machine and a good video card, the scenery and aircraft textures are still lacking. You can go to flight simulation websites and download scenery and aircraft far superior in their graphic representations. And they function just as well. So, why does Microsoft not do as good a job?

The detail is amazing. Haven't had a chance to check out many of the airports, but the La Paz, Mexico is pretty good.

Been playing this for a few weeks now. It definitely kicks ass. The realism of the simulation is second to none. Bear in mind that you won't get a lot from this game if you don't have a decent joystick - I'm using a Cyborg joystick with dual independent throttle motion. I can fly from the two airports close to where I live too, which is a major plus as I know the terrain around here well so I can easily get familiar with it.

This game is fun for anyone interested in flying or anything to do with flight! It uses some amazing real world weather and physics to show what a real pilot can experience. I would recommend picking up a copy before it is too late! Microsoft announced it was no longer going to make new FS games but will support with minor updates through 2010!
