Product Description You never thought it would turn out like this - an all-out chase where you're both the hunted and the hunter. Now you must get behind the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, so track him down. That fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won't make things any easier. It will take all of your experience and every ounce of skill to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth that puts an end to this chase once and for all.

Need Less Speed March 5, 2010 MusicLover (tucson, az) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a hard game for a man over 50 to beat. I don't like a game I can't win. Why don't these race games offer a beginner level? I hate that the cops will always bust you just when you're driving around. What a pain. But the graphics are good and the rest of the game play isn't bad.
Not Worth It February 12, 2010 Andrew Cole (Oak Harbor, WA) I bought a brand new laptop with a 2.2 GHZ Intel core 2 duo T6600, 4 GB RAM, and an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card. I had no racing games, so I bought NFS Undercover. With every graphics option at minimum/off, it's still a bit glitchy during anything more than cruising in low traffic. By then the graphics are falling to average for a PS2, so it kinda sucks for me. It looks pretty good with everything turned up, but becomes unplayable with my laptop.
As for the game itself: The story line is decent. The real video cutscenes are nice. The driving realism is non-existant. The cars DO NOT handle like real cars. The opponents are sometimes too easy, sometimes too hard. Rarely a good match. Car prices are obviously made up to match their "tier" in the game, for example- a stock Mitsubishi EVO does NOT cost over $100k. The police chases are rediculous. For some reason, when I drive my fully upgraded Nissan GTR at over 200 mph, the (stopped) Chevy Tahoe police suv I just passed will be ramming me into the guardrail within 10 seconds. Last time I checked, no one has EVER made a Tahoe go over 200. Once the police get to you, they can push you around as they please, regardless of the vehicle types.
Finally, getting started was flat out stupid. Installation requires that you read and accept THREE DIFFERENT LEGAL AGREEMENTS. Each one is huge and pretty much says that if you do anything but play the game you face penalties. EA has diappointed me in the past, and this game is prime example that they're not trying to fix it.
Rent it first. February 7, 2010 Alice Wakefield (USA) If it plays on your machine, then it's a good deal. Like others have mentioned, the game freezes up right after the intro to a white screen of nothing. I've got Vista w/ 4gb ram, tried uninstalling/reinstalling, DirectX diagnostics, all the latest drivers, unplugging my keyboard, nothing helps. I'd return it to EA, but they'd just send me another coaster.
Not really worth it! October 17, 2009 David J. Markham 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this game thinking it would be good because of Most Wanted but this game doesn't hold up, the graphics are lacking and the gameplay is way too easy!! Not worth the money or effort!!
Warning, no 64 bit support September 21, 2009 Denes Kelenyi (Costa Rica) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
This Game does not run on my machine, even though it meets and exceeds all the requirements posted on the EA site.
This is the support ticket response from EA:
After reviewing your dxdiag I gained that your machine has got windows vista 64 bit as an operating system.
For this I want to address you that EA games are not at all compatible on 64 bit operating system .
The only thing you can do to play the game is you have to install the windows 32 bit operating system in your machine .
This is the only solution to your issue.
Now this is something really shocking as nor the EA sites warn you of this, nor the Amazon page for these games (not Amazon's fault though).
So if you live in the 21st century and run a 64 bit Windows on your 64 bit processor please do yourself a favour and do not buy this game. Now I have to see what to do with my pre-ordered NFS Shift.
