DON'T BUY THIS!!! February 7, 2010

First of all, I thought I got a defective/bad disc, and returned my first MSS to the store. After I got a second copy home, I couldn't download this program until after 3 very arduous tries! For some reason the writing tutorial/program wouldn't download and it stopped up the whole works. I however managed to eventually bipass this, and was finally able to download everything else the box claimed to offer.
I finally started the "practice" portion to discover it was a question answer game, that went know where, and was far from educational. Then went to the "games/play" portion to discover it was more of the same. I thought I wound up with a second bad disc, because the box clearly shows pictures of text-book like lessons on subjects ranging from World History to Science. It wasn't until after coming to the amazon.com website and reading reviews by other disappointed customers that it wasn't my computer that was the problem, it's the disc is a joke!
Luckily, I bought this program brand new at a discount bookstore. I feel sorry for those who shelled out 30 bucks for this sorry excuse for an educational program. I also bought the elementary and high school versions at this same discount store, and they're much better than the middle schoool program. But they are all far from what they promise on the boxes.
Homeschoolers and parents looking to enhance their child's education....BEWARE! This line of programs aren't up to snuff....at least the 2009 editions aren't up to snuff. Save your money and sanity. Don't buy these.

This is false advertising. It is a game, nothing more. No lessons, no way to access just one subject or one grade level. Oh wait it also has a list of the lessons you should get, not where you should get them but a list. Its a huge waste of money. Even on sale. It isnt worth it. Even as a game its garbage. The money back requires you to send them your reciet and box etc and send it with tracking and require signiture and delivery confirmation. Basicaly it will cost you more to send it back than you would get back from them. I encourage any of you who have bought this to report them to the BBB for poor business practice. This is clearly false advertising. I am acutaly tempted to sue, just to inconvience them. I have checked and they have been selling this product this way for over half a decade! The pitch works, like snake oil. There little less than theives. Maybe not less , theives at least are honest about the fact there robbing you...

this is a scam
from their packaging: "...is a comprehensive learning program" and more: " .. has educator endorsed award -winning lessons .."
the truth is that there are no lessons. no explanations, no tutorial .. nothing !!!
I can't believe I paid [...]$ for it.
because it was on sale I bought it at the end of last year, and just now when school started I installed it. well... it too late to return it.
On the company's web site there is a whole section in the FAQ that is dedicated to "where are the lessons?" they simply say there are no lessons.
DONT BUY !!!

Absolutely worthless. Gets one star because zero can't be checked.
Total rip off. Motivated me to write my only review in a decade.
Packaging is compeltely misleading. This was never a good product, and should not be for sale.

I bought this at a store. I homeschool and wanted some software to give extra lessons apart from the textbook.
I expected lessons and all I got were questions.
If you get an incorrect answer it will explain the correct answer.I was also disappointed that there is no ability level.
I learned my lesson--to review on the net before making such a purchase.
