Superb precision pad for laser mice, pairs well with Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 for zero latency and high precision November 18, 2009 Christopher P. Tanger (Chicago, IL)
Superb precision pad for laser mice, pairs well with Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 for zero latency and high precision.
Many laser mice won't work with mouse mats, this one is designed for laser mice!
Who wants the jitters of a wireless mouse or the lack of precision provided by inconsistent surfaces.
One note, this mouse mat is very thin, perhaps 1/3 the thickness of a traditional mouse mat. If you plan to use it on very rough surfaces, such as picknic tables or something it may not fit the bill.
I personally cut mine in half and use them as portable mouse mats to take with my notebook/laptop comptuer wherever I go.
A winner! October 25, 2009 Eclipsante (Denver, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Recently, I had to retire my previous mouse mat because I wore it down with all my gaming! I had heard good things about SteelSeries so I decided to check them out.
I love cloth like mats (or a cloth hybrid) and have never been a fan of the plastic and metal surfaces. The QcK has a smooth cloth surface and it's the perfect thickness. You can even roll it up easily if you need to. When you unroll it, it lays flat with no problems.
I also love the grip on the bottom of the pad. I have a wood laminate desk and the pad grips the desk with no issues and no sliding around.
The size of the mat is perfect for the limited real estate on my desktop. I needed something on the small side but with enough room for my mouse to move around easily and the QcK mini is the perfect choice.
My mouse is a Logitech MX518 optical gaming mouse and it has no issues with this mouse pad. No skips, no drags, the mouse glides over the surface and makes gaming (and everyday computing) a breeze.
The price is also great! Most gaming mouse mats are a lot higher in price. For someone who is just starting to try gaming mouse mats or someone that wants a cloth mat that's not HUGE, it's the perfect gaming pad and an awesome price.
I'll definitely be buying from SteelSeries again.
It is a mouse pad September 1, 2009 A. Nieves (Kissimmee, FL) In all Honesty you get what you ordered but I found myself wishing for a newer more advanced mouse pad. This cloth material is really old school and tends to get smudges and lint fibers stuck onto the pad that really is no fault to the design but I will be getting something newer. Cannot complain very good mouse pad in it's own regard it really just depends what you are really looking for.
Pretty Good June 27, 2009 Peter Louis (Madison, WI United States) PROS:
- smooth & precise for my Razer Diamondback
- pretty good value for the price
CONS:
- very thin and doesn't stay put sometimes
- surface seems to wear out a bit faster than I would like
Great cloth mouse pad. June 22, 2009 Kuk (Miami, Florida United States) For me its perfect, but dont get me wrong there isnt much difference with your average generic mouse pad. I was tired of hard surfaces eating my mouses so fast, i tried a lot of brands, like Xtrac, Func, etc and all of them wear down the mouse feet in less than a year. Due to this reason i search for good cloth mousepad.
The Steelseries QcK mini is great mouse pad, well build has a ruber back that helps it stay in place, and the surface let my mx518 glide with ease and i have no complaints about the tracking, the size is small but thats what i wanted, and for $7 its a good investment. I have nothing bad to say about it, and highly recommended.
