Terrific program September 14, 2009 R. G. Ray (Atlanta, GA USA) I purchased this for my 16 month old grandson as his first software. It was all that I expected and more. A terrific introduction to the computer and an excellent learning tool.
nothing better! July 3, 2009 Natalie Brunson (usa) we started playing this at the library and my son liked it so much that we bought a copy for home! I encourage everyone with a toddler to buy this product! my son has learned so much so quickly! dexterity (mouse), letters, sounds, new words.... the list goes on! as he ages I will continue buying RR products!
Reader Rabbit Toddler October 17, 2007 Lady Sab (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Reader Rabbit Toddler is the best thing since disposable diapers!!! It doesn't matter if your child knows how to use a computer mouse at all. All they need to be able to do, is beat up your keyboard with their fists, and all kinds of neat things happen right in front of their eyes. The best part, is they eventually realize that they are making these things happen by manipulating the mouse or keyboard.
There are lots of great, bold colors & lots of different sounds. There are stories and songs, coloring, sorting, etc.
The worst parts are trying to get the child away from the computer long enough to write a review or pay a bill, and keeping the page open. If the page accidently closes, you'll have a fight on your hands, trying to get the mouse away from them, to re-open the page.
I especially love the fact that software is available for children old enough to pound their fists, to about 12 years of age.
Good learning January 11, 2007 Tess (Indiana) Reader Rabbit programs are great. Kids think they're fun, and they're learning at the same time. I highly recommend these.
Okay for a toddler to use January 11, 2007 Amy Starr (Elizabethtown, PA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 2-year-old daughter was pretty excited about this program. unfortunately, it often causes our Windows 98 computer to crash, and she gets frustrated when we have to reboot, and she has to wait.
She has not yet gotten the hang of the mouse, so she mostly just watches and listens, while we play it for her. She really likes having her own thing to do on the "pe-ku-ter"!
