Product Description
Science has never been so easy - or so much fun! With The Everything Kids' Science Experiments Book, all you need to do is gather a few household items and you can recreate dozens of mind-blowing, kid-tested science experiments. High school science teach Tom Robinson shows you how to expand your scientific horizons - from biology to chemistry to physics to outer space.

You'll discover answers to questions like:
Is it possible to blow up a balloon without actually blowing into it?
What is inside coins?
Can a magnet ever be "turned off"?
Do toilets always flush in the same direction?
Can a swimming pool be cleaned with just the breath of one person?

Get ready to enter the laboratory and learn how to conduct cool experiments, understand scientific terms like "photosynthesis," and know fun facts like how many latex balloons per day can be made from a rubber tree. Each section has a great science fair project, complete with all the details you need to wow your teachers and friends.

You won't want to wait for a rainy day or your school's science fair to test these cool experiments for yourself!

5 out of 5 stars Can't say enough about this book!   September 27, 2009
Laura Bradley (Holly Springs, NC USA)
My son got this for his sixth birthday - and we love it! The experiments are easy to do, and most of them use items you already have around the house, or can buy cheaply. We've made it even more educational by having him keep a science journal, where he draws pictures of what happens, and tries to write a few sentences to describe it. Even my three year old likes to get involved, and while he doesn't always get the science behind each activity, he's entertained by the results. Our favorite activity so far: Balloon rockets!

I ordered this book for my best friend's 8 year old son who loves to do experiments and mix things up. He loves it! He has really enjoyed doing the various experiments in this book. Great buy for simple at home science experiments!!

3 out of 5 stars It's okay...   August 30, 2009

I think that some of the projects in this book are interesting. practical and engaging, but very few. Had I previewed it before buying I would have opted to take it out of the library for those few experiments, instead of adding it to my home libray.

4 out of 5 stars Nice Starting Point for Your Young Scientist   August 9, 2009

We recently started doing some experiments out of the book, and my daughter is really enjoying them. She is asking me to do one every day. The book includes experiments from a wide array of disciplines. You will enjoy seeing your kids learn when you are doing the experiments out of this book.
