Product Description
The tiny town of Chewandswallow was very much like any other tiny town except for its weather which came three times a day, at breakfast lunch and dinner. But it never rained rain and it never snowed snow and it never blew just wind. It rained things like soup and juice. It snowed things like mashed potatoes. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers. Life for the townspeople was delicious until the weather took a turn for the worse. The food got larger and larger and so did the portions. Chewandswallow was plagued by damaging floods and storms of huge food. the town was a mess and the people feared for their lives. Something had to be done, and in a hurry.

cloudy review October 30, 2009 Donna A. Morrison (Pearl River, NY) This is one of my favorite books! I had read it to my sons (now in their thirties) and now bought a copy for myself and my granddaughter. It was great to read it again.
For all ages October 30, 2009 another reader I sent this to a 4-year old as a gift, based on reader reviews. His 12-year old brother said it was one of HIS favorite books when he was "little," and he dropped everything to read it to his younger brother. The 7-year old sister loves it, too.

I don't really like this book because of its ugly colors and style of artwork, it's too wordy, and it's just kind of too weird for my taste, but my 2 1/2 year old seems to like it enough to ask me to read it to him every now and then, and he's the reason I bought it.
Loved this book! October 11, 2009 Kathleen Chomat (Florida) I bought this book for my 6 yr. old grandson. He's in kindergarten and has begun reading independently. This is a book we read together and talked about the plot and characters. The whole family enjoyed it. We have not seen the movie yet, but do plan to go soon. This is a classic book and a great story. If your child's school uses AR for reading comprehension this is an AR book - I don't remember the level, but I think it is over third grade. The illustrations are quite engaging! A must read.
Everyone should buy October 1, 2009 K. Brinkman (Minneapolis, MN) This book is a must buy for all kids, you are sure not to be dissapointed. Great story and very fun!
