Customer Reviews:
1 out of 5 stars Bad science   November 25, 2009
T. F. Murray IV (Mission Viejo, CA United States)
Let's see...did Gore fail to convince adults of his "science" so he now has to target impressionable children? The Global Warming crowd can't even get the cover of the book right. The 'hurricane' in the Atlantic is rotating the wrong way.

Only sorry I couldn't give it zero stars.

1 out of 5 stars poorly written, and the science is suspect...   November 21, 2009

The science is suspect (google it) and it is so biased as to expose his agenda... avoid this one

I read through this book at the store and could not believe that this man can live with himself. Beyond trying to indoctrinate children by aiming propoganda at "young readers", the reality is that so much of what is in this book is simply factually wrong. Please do not get this for your children. If you are interested in doing things to help the earth, there are a number truly great books to help you plant a garden, recycle, etc. that you can purchase.

5 out of 5 stars we need to act...fast!   November 11, 2009

I mistakenly purchased this young reader's edition after blindly accepting it from the Border's clerk, who had not heard of VP Al Gore! This book is not as haunting as An Inconvenient Truth, which was a wake-up call. This one is the action plan. The brilliance of VP Gore's prose lies in the simplicity of the language. The language is upper grade school level, but the concept is boundless. The concept of global warming and its potential solutions can be so abstract when explained by most pedantic university professors. However Gore lays it out as if we could attack the problem foot forward, which is exactly what we have to during this administration
