If you are looking at this book you probably must have it for a class but if not I would look elsewhere.
The book does not adequately explain things. There are lots of step by step examples but the explanations are lacking and the text that outlines the procedures could do a better job. Also it would be helpful if the problems in the sections refered to the appropriate examples in the begining of the section to help the student along as many other books do.

i bought the book for my first semester class of calculus. but i find out that my teacher gives us all the notes from the book. and the homework is on webassign,so it has proven not that helpful and useful. however i did hear that the book will probably be used for three semesters of calculus so i might get my moneys worth. also it comes with essential formulas and identities for trig,algebra,geometry,and derivatives rules.and please note that the book and solutions manual for the book has only odd answers only.

This book is a great book. There is a solution manual, but it's with book. so you to buy or print it for free. anything else is cool and good.
