I hate Type to Iearn 3/immense mistake November 13, 2009 Daniel Gado Worst game ever. It doesn't help you learn to type. It mostly just Irks children. If this rateing chart would let me go to 0 I would. I recommend not to buy it. If you do it's a immense mistake. It uses horrible typing methods. This review took me 15 min. to type all because of type to learn. Don't make the same mistake I did.
sincerely, Michael
Excellent!! October 20, 2009 Michael M. Burak (philadelphia) My 8 year old loves it. It is a great way to play and learn how to type
Does not work with VISTA and Windows 7 September 25, 2009 D. Olo (Silver Spring, MD USA) I bought this thinking it will work on Windows Vista and/or Windows 7, no luck. Good thing the seller agreed the return and gave me a link to a Vista compatible product.
Bought this one instead: Type To Learn 3 V1.2s- VISTA & MAC OSX/INTEL COMPATIBLE
Big mistake September 8, 2009 BernyG. (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this product which did not specify that it was not Mac os compatible. I guess if you purchase software all the time, you might have figured it out but for an amateur, it is very difficult and you only find out that it is not compatible until after you have opened the package and at that point you can not return it and get a refund or an exchange since this was purchased through a 3rd party. After calling an Apple store, I was able to get someone to help me purchase the right product for a Mac. I have absolutely no use for the first purchase. A complete waist of time and money.

This product is better than average in providing a developmentally sound sequence. Like the others it doesn't allow a choice to go back and practice a letter sequence over and over to mastery, the sequences are generally too short for development of good motor habits, and the rhythm is frequently interrupted by game-like sound and graphics. Less than half the time spent using the program is actual keyboarding practice. May be better than nothing, depending on the individual user's ability to bridge the interruptions and spend enough meaningful time practicing. Kids definitely need continual adult supervision to maintain correct posture and fingering.
