I got this for my two year old (for Christmas). What a disappointment though... after they "arrange" the blocks to make an animal, they press it to hear it's sound, but it's quite difficult for her to press down to actually make the sound (I had to push down rather hard on it for it to work, she couldn't do it at all). And it's much more difficult carrying the toy around because the blocks fall out very easily. Sometimes it wouldn't make the sounds at all even. She lost interest in this almost right away, and even if I sat with her to help her with this toy, she just was not impressed and usually wandered away soon after.
